What do you want, what do you need

One of the most basic things a real estate agent can do when you start the home buying process is sit you down and go through your wants and needs.

You would think couples who have been together for a long time would be on the same page. That is often not so.

The reason we do this is to find a common ground and to narrow the search down. You don't want to be looking at a bunch of homes you would never want to purchase.

By sitting down for 20 minutes or so discussing what the wants and needs are the search can more often or not be narrowed down to a top five or six home list.

From that after seeing the homes you should easily be able to come up with a top three.

A couple of minutes in discussion can spare you hours on the road.
